April 30:  Business Plan 101
For the smart entrepreneur, business planning is the process of planning ahead, organizing your company for success, and then executing on that plan.  Instructor John Hurley, Senior Executive, DLA Venture Pipeline Group, will provide an overview of the seven critical sections of the business plan, as well as the information you need to include to make your plan drive a desired transaction. 

May 14:  Venture Capital 102 : Advanced Venture Capital for the Entrepreneur
Get an insider’s view of the mechanics of a venture capital deal.  Jonathan Aberman and Don Rainey, adjunct professors at the Smith Business School University of Maryland and active venture investors themselves, will provide a practical introduction to the dynamics of a venture capital transaction.  Attendees at this intensive four hour workshop will learn "hows and whys" of specific terms of a venture capital deal, with a concentrated focus on term sheet negotiation.  Any entrepreneur preparing to seek venture capital should take this class.
