Entrepreneurial wishes for the new year

Everybody has their wishes for the coming year. Some wish for health, happiness, and maybe peace on earth. Others wish for an end to the recession, the return of prosperity, and maybe some stock market and 401(k) returns. I'll concede that those make my list too, but since I am an entrepreneur wring about and for entrepreneurs, I'll add a few more:
* I wish for a return of liquidity for exits for entrepreneurs (yes, many of us do it for joy AND money!)
* I wish for more entrepreneurs to focus on self-funding and bootstrapping with friends and family funds (I am not anti-VC at all, just that too many good ideas rely too soon on VCs, thus badly diluting the founders)
* I wish for the new administration to focus at least some energies on small business, not just big bailouts. How about starting with health care consortia for small business that really work?
* I wish for a halt to the recent spate of nationalistic protectionism worldwide that may well stifle world trade, thus hurting everyone (including small business) and increasing the risk of world conflicts (traders are not usually fighters)
* I wish for a rationalization and consolidation of the VC industry (face it - there were too many amateurs playing in the space, and they should stick to whatever they used to do and leave it to the seasonsed pros)
* I wish for continued technology advancements that year after year lower the cost of doing a startup and bringing ideas to market
* I wish for those displaced or fired from corporate jobs to discover the world of entrepreneurship and the deep sense of personal accomplishment that it can bring to your life
* And heck, I wish for world peace a second time.
Have a happy holiday and a wonderful New year!
