Building Your Brand: Where Would You Go To Get Marketing and Media Information?

Of course, most of Amplifier’s readers are experts in online data gathering.  Using your favorite search engine(s) for marketing information, naturally, you are likely to find a plethora of websites listed (quick searches today yielded over ten million hits using ‘marketing organizations’ as the search term).

As a service to our readers, here’s a good compendium of solid and legitimate organizations you can go to for a variety of marketing-related information, including articles, white papers, terminology, etc. These organizations vary from pure marketing to functions and specialties such as research, advertising or public relations; from US-based to internationally-based; from brick and mortar to web-only; from open-to-all to level-specific such as executives; and from all industries to industry-specific organizations.

The focus is on nonprofit organizations. You’ll also notice some Washington, DC-centric organizations among these. My favorite is the American Marketing Association (marketingpower.com)—with a strong local chapter (third largest). Check this out along with a few others and let me know what you think. Also, if you know of other important organizations that should be added, please let me know (pat@lovenhart.com).
